Digital Team Leader (Account Director)
Phelps currently has an opening for a Team Leader (Account Director) to lead a talented team of marketing communication specialists in our client-centric integrated marketing communication environment.

In order to be considered for this role candidates must have at least 10+ years advertising agency experience with 5 years’ experience in account management role with a focus on direct response, digital marketing strategy aligning communications across paid, owned and earned media.

Responsibilities and duties

• Primary point of contact with client
• Works with client-based team and client to lead all strategic endeavors from both a thinking and executional perspective
• Works closely with the client and team to lead the creation of budgets, timelines/schedules, briefs and other guidance documents
• Leads the satisfactory preparation and timely delivery of all client materials by orchestrating the day-to-day responsibilities of self-directed team members across multiple disciplines
• Demonstrates an overarching understanding of the digital marketing landscape including analytics, SEO, User Experience, web development, content strategy, and paid media integration
• Proactively identifies and solves program execution issues
Leads preparation of ongoing program results analyses
• Ensures best practices are followed pertaining to client communication and project history documentation
• Creates budget projections and manages budgets; is responsible for approving/managing/tracking billing against projects
• Responsible for overall account retention, growth and financial performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 10 or more years marketing communication/advertising agency experience, with 5 or more years in account management/ account leadership
• Strong understanding of digital marketing landscape
• Outstanding organizational, communication and presentation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prepare clean and concise client-ready documents
• Strong analytical skills with proven ability to demonstrate interpretation capabilities

Digital Team Manager (Sr. Account Executive)
Phelps is looking for the Houdini of advertising: a Team Manager (Account Manager) with preferably 3-5 years of experience who can transform awesome digital ideas into awesome digital campaigns. You’ll need a background in digital advertising and marketing for brands to provide excellent client service and be the backbone of this entire team.

Team Managers will manage the administration of client assignments on a day-to-day basis.

Major responsibilities also include planning, analyzing, and evaluating information and agency output relevant to agreed-upon client needs. Candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the activities necessary to meet clients’ needs across a large account; this means juggling lots of projects at the same time and knowing how to prioritize accordingly. Candidate must be able to ensure the smooth flow of work among agency teams, balance resources and coordinate preparation of research recommendations, and strategies.

Solid communication skills are essential so that you may lead both agency and client status meetings. You must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. Individual must be energetic, highly motivated, a self-starter, and willing to succeed.

Skills:
• Build/maintain strong client relationships

Marketing Automation Specialist
Phelps, an integrated marketing communications agency located in sunny Playa Vista, is looking for a talented and experienced specialist in the areas of CRM strategy, program development and execution, marketing automation, and lead generation campaigns, for both B2B and B2C clients.

We’re looking for an individual who is able to clearly identify our clients’ customer journeys, and develop communication programs that provide a clear path to engagement. We are a platform-agnostic agency, however we do seek somebody with specific expertise with implementing communications campaigns within Marketo and Salesforce/Marketing Cloud (journey builder). Our current clients work across these platforms.

Previous experience with the day-to-day management of client assignments in the email marketing world is a must.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with the before mentioned CRM platforms. This includes technical expertise in the setup of campaigns, email communications, “journeys”, dynamic functionality, analytics, and other platform specific tasks.
• Experience in developing lead scoring methodologies for previous clients (examples and references will be required)
• Major responsibilities also include planning, analyzing, and evaluating information and agency output relevant to agreed-upon client needs. Must have experience in the native analytics tools to each of the aforementioned platforms
• Responsible for the coordination and management of the activities necessary to meet client’s needs as well as ensure the smooth flow of work among agency teams.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills are essential so that you may lead both agency and client status meetings.

Skills

• Must have in depth experience with email and automated marketing in Marketo, and Salesforce/Exact Target
• Previous experience leading acquisition strategies through email and automated marketing through the use of the before mentioned platforms
• Email campaign development, execution and analysis
• A background in lead scoring, lead life cycles, routing, lead management and automated nurture campaigns
• Demonstrate the capability to leverage the aforementioned platforms’ native analytics tools, as well as Google Analytics in order to identify pipeline and revenue multi-touch attribution and advise on strategic recommendation
• Able to optimize campaigns (email, website landing pages, forms, etc.) to increase lead generation, retargeting and engagement efforts
• Provide weekly insights to all stakeholders through an in depth analysis regarding campaign results and recommendations for continued optimization

Social Media Strategist
Phelps is looking for a Social Media Strategist who will help drive our agency’s social media efforts for our deserving clients. This role is about defining our clients’ holistic social media strategies, creating content that is engaging and shareable, and working with our teams to execute campaigns that ensure a consistent brand voice across all channels.

Our ideal candidate is passionate about social media and stays abreast of industry changes. We’re seeking someone who is strategic, loves to write, gets excited about creating visual content through photos and videos and are heavy social users in their spare time.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop and maintain the agency’s comprehensive social media strategy that defines how social media marketing techniques will be applied to increase visibility and traffic across all clients
• Develop overarching strategies that are innovative and aligned with our clients’ marketing efforts
• Provide daily tactical social media efforts that apply these strategies, including creating content, posting, monitoring and reporting
• Proactively seek social media opportunities for new and existing clients and bring new ideas to our teams
• Provide guidance throughout the organization on best practices for creating, managing, monitoring, and developing content for social networks
• Apply marketing research and development methods to learn and understand emerging trends and technologies and to communicate this knowledge clearly and concisely

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience working directly in social media strategy for a brand or at an agency
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field is highly desirable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid presentation skills
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to be a self-starter and manage multiple projects
• Monitor the latest trends in social media to improve campaign performance and provide recommendations on how clients can best leverage new platforms, tools and services
• Ability to create and lead high level social media strategies and campaigns
• Demonstrate strategic insight to develop plans that align with the clients business objectives and proposed strategy
• Exhibit excellent research skills to identify key influencers/bloggers and engage with online communities to promote the clients brand
• Ability monitor and report on performance of specific campaigns
• Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
• Ability to identify targets’ preferences and create compelling content that appeals to them
• New business experience a plus.
• Knowledge of social listening tools, such as Netbase, is a plus
