Phelps, an integrated marketing communications agency, won a Gold Communicator Award of Excellence, the highest honor, in the integrated campaign category for its creative execution of the LAX is Happening campaign, for Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). An Award of Distinction was awarded for an integrated campaign, “Privacy comes naturally” for Tahiti Tourisme North America. The winners of the 2015 Communicator Awards were announced by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts.
For its work on LAWA, Phelps was recognized for its creative integration campaign that included out-of-home postings, billboards and digital billboards, flash banners, rich media, PR/social and a website. Travelers are greeted with memorable icons that tie into terminal upgrades and ongoing modernization efforts at the Los Angeles International Airport to help passengers navigate the construction.
Phelps won an Award of Distinction for Tahiti Tourisme’s “Privacy comes naturally,” campaign. Highlighting breathtaking landscapes and tranquil lagoons, the campaign spotlights the Islands of Tahiti as a peaceful getaway, that’s only eight hours from Los Angeles, through print coverage, flash banners, email, PR/social and a pre-roll video. The campaign comes to fruition due to research that tapped into insights of travelers wanting true privacy when vacationing. The Islands of Tahiti is the only destination in its category that can deliver on privacy as a way of life.
