Phelps, the integrated marketing communications agency for such clients as Panasonic and Public Storage, named 11 new associates, increasing its bench strength in data, media, public relations and account management.
The hires come as the agency has added new business and strengthened its capabilities across disciplines. Among the new business is the City of El Segundo and Heavenly Mountain Resort.
Victor Diaz has joined as a data analyst. He previously managed data analytics for AXS Ticketing and web analytics for Gifts.com.
In media, Aaron Pickens has joined as a media strategist from Levy Online, where he was a digital marketing manager. SEO Strategist Courtney Messerli has joined from Anthropologie, where she was a global SEO specialist. Meaghan Downs, a social media strategist, has joined from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she was director of social media. Sue Villegas joins Phelps as team coordinator on the Public Storage account she was previously at RPA.
Moses Lim and Derek Shenberg have been named media coordinators. Lim was an assistant media coordinator at Phelps since July, while Shenberg joins the agency from Rapp, where he was a media budget coordinator. Ryan Farol and Arin Rohrer have joined as assistant media coordinators. Farol was an assistant media coordinator at Entertainment Partners; Rohrer was assistant strategist at Omnicom Media Group. Kimberly Ye joins as media coordinator, previously she was a marketing and communications coordinator at Hologic.
In public relations, Rebecca Steadly has joined as a public relations coordinator from Innovative PR.
