Account Planner
Hi. We are Phelps, an integrated marketing communication agency currently located in Santa Monica (moving to Playa Vista).

Art Director
We’re looking for an Art Director who is focused on more than just aesthetics and making things “look good.” We’re looking for someone who understands how to solve our client’s business challenges with creative strategy that’s followed by smart, forward thinking, and solutions oriented creative. It’s more than an eye for surface level attractiveness; it’s a vision for problem solving that comes with passion fostered by experience.

This position requires 3-5 years experience with a focus on integrated advertising across both traditional and digital platforms. Your role will be to provide strategic input, conceptual thinking and delivery of the final creative solution. You will execute cross-platform strategies and content to support and validate the businesses, brands, and campaigns of our clients. The ideal candidate will have an excellent creative portfolio with inspired integrated campaigns.

Success in this role is defined by your ability to:

Education and Training:
A bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or Art Direction is preferred along with 3-5 years related experience in a creative agency or studio environment. You will have a thorough understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite.
 


Digital Team Manager (Account Executive)
Phelps is looking for a talented mid-level (3-5 years) Account Manager with a background digital advertising and marketing for brands to provide excellent client service and account management skills.

The individual will manage the administration of client assignments on a day-to-day basis.

Major responsibilities also include planning, analyzing, and evaluating information and agency output relevant to agreed-upon client needs. Candidate will also be responsible to coordinate and manage the activities necessary to meet client’s needs; ensure the smooth flow of work among agency teams; and coordinate preparation of media plans, research recommendations, and strategies.

Specific must-haves:
• At least 5 years of experience with managing the strategy, concepting and development of enterprise-level web-based projects and applications, of an advanced technical nature.

• Identify and manage development (and future deployment) against key technical milestones, project dependencies and project resources
• Identify and escalate potential issues, developing mitigation options and executing selected resolutions
• Establish and maintain communication with each technical resource group (including the front/back-end developers, user experience specialists, creative team, QA Manager and testing team), and be aware of each group’s project-related responsibilities.

We are looking for someone to join us with the following experience:
• A hybrid individual who can help lead our agency’s Analytics Discipline in conjunction with rolling up their sleeves and getting the work done. We’re looking for more than just the voice of Analytics but also the hands to lead the charge alongside an elite team of digitally savvy associates. In essence, can you talk the talk and walk the walk?
• Is highly analytical and driven by finding key insights by data mining large and complex data sets

SEO Specialist / Content Strategist

We’re seeking an experienced Content Marketing/SEO Specialist to work with exciting brands within a dotcom and entrepreneurial environment. You’ll have the opportunity to learn other mediums of online marketing, technical SEO, social media marketing, and more.

Job Description
This position will be responsible for the research, procurement, and creation of marketing content (when necessary) for our pool of clients. The Content Marketing/SEO Specialist will also need a strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) principals and use those principals when creating and/or optimizing content. Specific responsibilities involve keyword research, segmenting keywords by user intent, marketing content production and delivery management, and assisting client teams with the optimization, creation and scheduling of future content (content marketing calendar.)
The daily role of the Content Marketing/SEO Specialist is to insure client teams receive timely responses for content review requests, strategic guidance on keyword selection, and providing training on the Content Marketing Process. The role will work closely with the SEO Specialist, Content Strategist, and Data Analyst to help find content gaps and opportunities.

Team Coordinator (Assistant Account Executive)
Hi there. We are Phelps, an integrated marketing agency located in Santa Monica whose focus is to deliver cohesive campaigns through Advertising, Public Relations, Digital Production, Social Media, Media Planning/Buying, Video Production, Radio Production, Brand Strategy, Creative, Analytics and the list goes on.

We don’t have departments here, we have client teams that are composed of different specialists who work together to do awesome work for their client and it just so happens that we’re hiring a Team Coordinator to work on a few of those teams.

The Team Coordinator will be responsible for providing project management support on integrated accounts for our agency’s clients.

This position is much more than tracking schedules and timelines – you’ll be working with specialists across all disciplines to develop and execute solutions to make campaigns and their delivery a smooth process that yields great results.

Candidate should be intuitive, digitally savvy, a strong team player and demonstrate smart thinking and proactive problem solving. He or she should possess a basic understanding of project management concepts and processes in the advertising agency setting. This candidate should have an interest in learning the ins and outs of the digital space and how to communicate a brand’s personality through both digital and traditional channels.

Strong communication skills (written and oral), organizational skills and client service skills are required. The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years account management or project management coordination. Experience in a mid/large size advertising agency on interactive (digital) or integrated accounts a plus.

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree plus strong Word, Excel, PowerPoint and marketing skills.

Responsibilities include:
• Managing client requests regarding campaign needs, deadlines and budgets
• Provide recommendations for improved and more efficient processes
• Tracking project changes and managing project schedules as agreed upon by account team
• Working closely with team members across all disciplines to initiate projects through to completion
• Preparing reports/analyses, as needed, by the client and team (status reports, marketing data, estimates, billing, traffic, performance metrics, etc.)
• Handling information requests from clients and coordinating with agency team members as needed

Team Leader (Account Director) with luxury experience
Phelps has an opening for a Team Leader (Account Director) experienced in reaching extremely high income targets to sell ultra-luxury products. This person will lead a team of marcom specialists in our client-centric integrated communication environment.
Candidates must have at least 10 years advertising agency experience aligning communications across multiple channels.

Responsibilities:
• Primary point of contact with client
• Works with client-based team and client to lead all strategic endeavors from both a thinking and executional perspective
• Works closely with the client and team to lead the creation of budgets, timelines/schedules, briefs and other guidance documents
• Leads the preparation and timely delivery of all client materials by orchestrating the day-to-day responsibilities of self-directed team members across multiple disciplines
• Proactively identifies and solves program execution issues
• Leads preparation of ongoing program results analyses
• Ensures best practices are followed pertaining to client communication and project history documentation
• Budget projections/budget management and is responsible for approving/managing/tracking billing against projects
• Overall account retention, growth and financial performance

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 10 or more years marketing communication/advertising agency experience
• At least three years account leadership experience
• Successful at marketing high-ticket, ultra-luxury products/services
• “Green” marketing experience a plus
• Automotive marketing experience a plus
• Outstanding organizational, communication and presentation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prepare clean and concise client-ready documents
• Strong analytical skills with proven ability to demonstrate interpretation capabilities
• Strong client relationship and interpersonal skills who demonstrates empathy and commitment to the client and the agency team
• Proven ability to manage expectations
• Solid understanding of account-level finances
• Expert-level fluency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
• Willing to travel up to 25% of the time

Team Manager with Multicultural Experience (Sr. Account Executive)
Phelps is looking for a talented mid-level (3 to 5 years) Account Manager with a background in integrated campaigns across traditional and non-traditional media programs, including experiential, TV & Radio, Digital/Social, OOH, and Print who will provide strategic thinking, excellent client service and account management.

The individual will manage the administration of client assignments on a day-to-day basis.

Major responsibilities also include planning, analyzing, evaluating information and agency output relevant to agreed-upon client needs. Candidate will also be responsible to coordinate and manage the activities necessary to meet client’s executional programs; ensure the smooth flow of work among agency teams; and coordinate preparation of media plans, research recommendations, and strategies.

Solid communication skills are essential to lead both agency and client status meetings in conjunction with being able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. Individual must be energetic, highly motivated, a self-starter, and willing to succeed.
